**Updates coming** The performance EFI market has changed massively since we put this page up, and there are now many more and better options for converting a Magnum engine to EFI than existed at that time. We’ve got some updates planned that will cover some of the more common, reliable, and affordable methods for converting either from carburetor or OEM fuel injection in your project car.
Choosing between carburetor and EFI will depend on personal preference, skill, and existing parts. One major issue: the stock Dodge fuel injection (used in the vehicles with Magnum engines) is not a performance capable system. It is acceptable for a stock daily driver, but for performance applications, we do not recommend the stock EFI system. For all but the mildest modifications, we recommend either a carburetor or an aftermarket fuel injection system available from:
For Carburetors, we like the performance units from Quickfuel for racing and serious performance. For no-trouble cruising and economy without sacrificing power, we use the Street Avenger carburetors from Holley.
